BPRM program
BPRM - IDP Program for Southern Serbia (2000- 2002)

BPRM 2000-2001. International Relief and Development has been operational in southern Serbia since 2000. The first program assisted more than 80,000 IDP’s and Refugees through humanitarian assistance distributions. The program also provided an agriculture support program for 3,000 IDP families and implemented a pilot income generation project with 482 vulnerable IDP women.
BPRM 2001-2002 In the second year IRD implemented a program, funded by the United States Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration, that utilized a community development approach toward its information dissemination, stabilization and return preparation program. IRD believes in giving equal support to IDP's who wish to return to Kosovo and to those who wish to remain in Serbia.
The goal for this project was to promote the stabilization and repatriation of minority Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Southern Serbia to Kosovo. IRD implemented a self-reliance & community revitalization assistance program by using a participatory, community development approach to identify priority interventions for both the host and IDP return populations.
