Reproductive health

Improvement of youth education and their health, particularly by applying all around the World recognized and accepted method of peer education. Youth are though and prepared to train their peers on various topics of reproductive health and family planning (FP/RH). This way, after achieving high level of education in FP/RH and methods of training, they influence their peers as role models and educate them in these topics through various workshops and trainings in regional schools

Prevention of cervical and breast carcinoma by equipping local health centers and education of health workers from these centers. Donated equipment and training of medical workers in FP/RH increase the quality of health services in region and capacities in fight with reproductive health problems at the same time expanding of public awareness regarding these important issues

Support in creation of national network of peer educators of Serbia, so called Y-PEER network, that gather national youth organizations and young individuals educated and specially trained on topics of FP/RH, prevention of sexually transmitted infections and human rights. Additionally, with the network, and national experts (doctors and psychologists) on FP/RH issues, a first national congress of peer educators of Serbia which resulted in preparing, publishing and distribution of national standards for peer education training on FP/RH, which was completed and adjusted with equal international standards.

Improvement of Roma kids health status and peer education of FP/RH topics in their population as well as hygiene, alimentation…

Continued education of gynecologist, nurses/technicians and obstetricians in preventive methods and techniques of health problems in women, with support and recognition of these programs from University of Belgrade and their professors and experts who conducted this educational program

Media promotion of FP/RH through most popular national and local TV stations in form of short educational movies prepared and produced by IRD with cooperation of Y-PEER network and national experts for FP/RH. Same material is used in education of school kids in regular educational program of local schools.
